Volunteer Today!

Volunteer with Community Living Hanover & Area!

Volunteers play a critical role in our organization by creating opportunities for everyone to participate in our community and explore their own unique interests and skills.  CLHA appreciates community members who share their time and talents with our members and our organization.  We offer a wide range of opportunities that are flexible so that volunteers can contribute in a way that fits their life and centres around their interests.   We welcome adults, families, students and groups to join our team of dedicated volunteers.

Ways to Get Involved

•   One to One Volunteers and Community Connectors:  Spend time in the community with members to explore shared interests, recreational activities or hobbies. Take someone out for coffee, join an exercise class together, learn photography, participate in local religious or cultural events or spend an evening playing video games – the possibilities are endless!

•  Social Nights and Leisure Activities: Join us for cooking, crafts, gardening, exercises, music, games or share your own special talent or skills with us!

•  Day Trips and Vacations:  Do you like to travel and try new things?  Many of our members do too!  They are always looking for people interested in exploring with them - whether it is to local attractions and events or to more exotic locations!

•  Transportation Volunteers:  The  biggest challenge that many of our members face is being able to get to community events, recreational activities, appointments or being able to simply shop for groceries.

•  Event Volunteers: CLHA holds a number of events throughout the year, including our Annual Golf Tournament and Christmas Party. Volunteers are always needed to help with set-up and take-down, silent auctions, food service and other behind-the-scenes jobs to make these events a success.

"Ultimately, the only way to experience the richness of life is to live in an attitude of gratitude; to appreciate what you have and what you can give.  The best way to ensure your happiness is to assist others in experiencing their own."

Anthony Robbins
